Adult Programme 1:

Self-Defence

the-sunday-times-vector-logo-free-downlo

“Krav Maga is the most effective self defence and fitness training system in the UK today”

This programme is designed to provide practitioners with the skills and tactical ability necessary to protect themselves in a range of common real-world situations.

While the programme centres around the Krav Maga self defence system, practitioners are also given access to kickboxing, wrestling and BJJ classes, helping them to become rounded and dynamic fighters.

Krav Maga is itself an integrated system of self-defence known for its practical and realistic techniques and tactics for avoiding, preventing, deterring, or otherwise handling all types of violent confrontations.

The fundamental, underlying principle of Krav Maga is that any technique that is effective in a given real-world scenario is a form of Krav Maga. Therefore, in addition to learning the KMG Krav Maga syllabus in the Krav Maga sessions, students will also learn to integrate wider martial arts (kickboxing, wrestling, BJJ) skills into real-world scenarios.

While perhaps unconventional for a Krav Maga school, this approach has proven to be a highly effective means of providing self defence instruction, with ARCH Krav Maga practitioners consistently showing themselves to be quality fighters with the ability to apply self defence techniques under extremely high pressure at national events and gradings.

Programme price: £79 per month

Adult Programme 2:

Grappling/NoGi BJJ

"People who are in Jiu Jitsu are healthier people. Their egos are healthier. They are easier to talk to... It is as real as it can get and that has made me a better person."

JOE ROGAN

As a BJJ school operating under 10th Planet Swindon, the primary goal of our Grappling/NoGi BJJ programme is to learn and participate in NoGi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu focuses on grappling and submission wrestling. NoGi means we train in a t-shirt or rash guard and shorts instead of the traditional Gi.

However, at ARCH we recognise and value the importance of wrestling abilities in developing a rounded BJJ game. As such, we have sought out some of the UK's top wrestling/judo coaches to provide our students with strong wrestling instruction alongside excellent BJJ coaching.

We focus on the effective clinch, wrestling and submission techniques, integrating a range of styles, including BJJ, wrestling, judo and sambo.

We are a beginner--friendly club, which is accepting and encouraging of new practitioners, but are also home to various higher-level belted students. Likewise, while we are competition-focused, with many of our students and coaches regularly competing in regional and national competitions, this is by no means a requirement of training and we will work to support you in achieving your personal goals.

Programme price: £89 per month

Adult Programme 3:

Martial Arts

"At the beginning, my dream was to become a world-class boxer, but then I stepped into MMA. And when I stepped into MMA, it was to have fun. I reminded myself of what was the purpose, of what was the goal: to have fun."

Francis Ngannou

Arch's Martial Arts programme is dedicated to the pursuit of comprehensive training in various martial arts disciplines.

Here we combine striking and grappling techniques from diverse martial arts traditions, including BJJ, judo, wrestling, kickboxing and boxing, to promote a holistic approach to competitive combat sports.

Our curriculum is designed to develop well-rounded skills in both stand-up and ground fighting, catering to beginners and advanced practitioners alike.

Like our BJJ programme, we foster a competitive environment and support athletes in regional and national competitions. However, competition participation is completely optional and we prioritize individual progress and personal goals, creating a supportive community where everyone can thrive.

Kids Programme 1:

Martial Arts and Self Defence

Feedback from an Arch Mum:

"My daughter does Martial Arts [at Arch], it’s fantastic and has got her out of two tricky situations since joining by learning to spot trouble before it happens.

[The instructors] are very respectful. They really listen to the children during training and allow them to find the most suitable training partners"

Our kids classes are designed to be fun and exciting. Your child will build confidence, learn effective anti-bullying techniques, and gain an overall awareness of potentially dangerous situations.

We aim to impart knowledge, while developing fundamental skills, including self discipline, teamwork, and resilience. These skills serve our youth students beyond childhood, helping them to become strong and rounded adults.

You can rest easy knowing our techniques are routinely tested for efficacy, proportionality and, most importantly, safety.

Kids Programme 2:

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Feedback from Arch Parents:

"[My kids] always come away feeling happy and accomplished"

"A postitive and enjoyable martial arts experience"

"I have seen the great strides my two boys have made"

The primary goal of our kids' BJJ programme is to introduce children to the exciting world of NoGi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a safe and supportive environment.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a competitive sport that emphasizes grappling and submission wrestling techniques. As we are a NoGi club, kids train in the comfort of a t-shirt (or rash guard) and shorts, instead of the traditional Gi (meaning no costly and uncomfortable uniforms!).

Our curriculum focuses on fundamental clinch work, wrestling, and submission techniques, drawing from a variety of styles including BJJ, wrestling, judo, and sambo.

We pride ourselves on being a beginner-friendly club, welcoming and supportive of new practitioners while also nurturing those who have perhaps trained martial arts elsewhere or have a natural inclination for BJJ.

While we offer opportunities for kids to participate in competitions, it's not a requirement. We're committed to helping each child achieve their personal goals, whether it's mastering new skills, gaining confidence, or simply having fun on the mats.

Personal Training

"There's no secrets or magic tricks to being successful...

It's plain and simple. Work harder than everyone else and the only way to do that is to do it."

Ronnie Coleman

Personal training is the best way to quickly take your training to the next level.

In these 1-2-1 or small group classes, you will focus on techniques or principles that you struggle with or work towards overall technical, tactical and physical improvement.

Please note that 121 training is very popular and spaces are limited - we are usually operating on a wait list.
