Arch is a 10th Planet Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym, making us part of a global organisation at the forefront of Nogi BJJ and a UK community of high-level clubs.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu focuses on grappling and submission wrestling. No Gi means we train in a t-shirt or rash guard and shorts instead of the traditional Gi.
At ARCH we recognise and value the importance of wrestling abilities in developing a rounded BJJ game. We focus on the effective clinch, wrestling and submission techniques, integrating a range of styles, including BJJ, wrestling, judo and sambo.
As such, we have sought out some of the UK's top Wrestling/Judo coaches to provide our students with strong wrestling instruction alongside excellent BJJ coaching.
We are a beginner friendly club, which is accepting and encouraging of new practitioners, but are also home to various higher-level competitors. Likewise, while we are competition-focused, with many of our students and coaches regularly competing in regional and national competitions, this is by no means a requirement of training and we will work to support you in achieving your personal goals.
